Archaeologists discovered the 7,000 yr old settlements, the earliest signs of human life in Merseyside during an excavation at junction six, near Huyton. The collection includes prehistoric flints and burnt hazelnut shells dating back to 5,000 BC, also pottery and metal work of the Roman period.
The artifacts will be on display at Liverpool's World Museum once the entire site has been excavated
